How do I register for the Shared Histories Conference?

Registration is managed solely through this website. Postal registration will not be accepted. We use EventBrite to manage registration and payment of conference fees. You can register on the website registration page.

How can I find accommodation close to the conference venue?

For information relating to hotels located close to the conference venue (National Library of Ireland) please see:

I would like to learn more about Dublin City, where can I find this information?

The National Library is located in the heart of Dublin city centre. The city itself is steeped in historic sites and buildings. From the splendor of St. Stephen’s Green to the rich history of the Guinness Store House there’s plenty to see and do.

Where in Dublin is the conference venue?

The conference will be held in the Seminar Room, National Library of Ireland, Kildare St. Dublin. You can visit the National Library of Ireland’s website at http://www.nli.ie/

What is the time allocation for each speaker?

Each speaker is allocated 20 minutes and each session has 20 minutes at the end for questions, comments, and discussion

I have a slide presentation, how do I submit this?

Should you wish to use slide presentation software (PowerPoint) you must submit the presentation in advance to mark.obrien@dcu.ie so that it can be uploaded to the National Library’s system. The use of individual laptops or USB Sticks is not permitted by the Library.

Refreshments, are they included?

Tea/Coffee & Lunch is included in the conference fee.

When will the Conference Dinner be held?

To be held on Wednesday evening, 6:30pm.

I need to cancel my registration, how do I do this?

If, for whatever reason, you cannot make the conference please let us know as soon as possible.
