Multiplier Event – Serbia

Members of the association “Youth and Play” organized an event and invited all primary and secondary schools in Subotica and some other towns in the municipality. The event took place on October 16 at 12:00 PM in the main hall of the City Hall. Milanka Stankić and Stefan Basarić gave a half-hour lecture, where they spoke about the project itself, its results, the collaboration within the project, and the useful resources that English (and other subject) teachers can find on the website.

Following that, on November 6, the presentation was repeated at their workplace, namely the school. Both Milanka and Stefan gave the presentation, and their colleagues were introduced to the project and its outcomes.

The Project

The Shared (Hi)stories project seeks to broaden the minds of secondary students in the EU by encouraging critical thinking and a multi-perspective approach to cultural and historical heritage. Through the exploration of (hi)stories traditionally told from a one-sided national perspective, the project aims to foster a strong sense of EU awareness and citizenship among students while improving their English skills.
